The Royal Armouries, Leeds

Leeds is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city unrivalled as a shopping destination and centre for entertainment, the arts, museums, restaurants, pubs and clubs. The Royal Armouries is located only a short distance from the centre of Leeds at Clarence Dock.

Located in the heart of the UK, only 2 hours from London by train and scheduled flights from across the UK and Europe coming into Leeds Bradford International Airport.

The museum is a multi-million pound purpose built building which houses a large part of the national collection of arms and armour, and displays over 8500 objects throughout its five themed galleries. This venue offers a unique conference and exhibition facility, with the added benefit of on-site hotel accommodation at the Express by Holiday Inn (see accommodation below).

Travel

Rail:  The nearest main station is Leeds City Centre. The Royal Armouries is approx 15-20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi drive from the station. This pedestrian map shows the route from Leeds Station to the Royal Armouries.

Car:  Parking is available on site at the Royal Armouries, this is free for delegates attending the conference.

Air:  Leeds/Bradford Airport is approximately 30 minutes drive, there is a taxi booking service available in the arrivals area.. A shuttle bus service is also available to Leeds City Centre. Accommodation

We recommend delegates stay at the Express by Holiday Inn, which is ideally located opposite the Royal Armouries. 

We have reserved a number of bedrooms at a special discounted rate of £69 for delegates (from Sunday 14th - Tuesday 16th November). Any unsold rooms under this allocation will automatically be released on 14th October; however should you wish to book after this date it will be on a first come first served basis.

All rates include hot breakfast and VAT. In order to reserve a room you must download and return the booking form to reservations.leeds@holidayinnexpress.org.uk quoting AQU on the form. 

Leeds is a very busy city and hotels do get booked up very quickly – you are advised to arrange your accommodation as soon as possible.
